My newest addition to the heart cushions are mala beads. Malas are prayer beads that have been used for thousands of years for meditation. The word mala means "garland" or rosary in Sanskrit. Regular use of mala prayer beads can enhance knowledge of self, intuition, prosperity, patience, health and reduce stress. You can "clean" your malas from the sunshine or the moonlight. Try using a tibetan bowl or even reiki to cleanse your beads. I have taken the mala beads one step further by designing the concept called "BUILD A MALA" . Since malas are sacred, I wanted malas that are beautiful, unique and represent the heart. I have chosen gemstones for their healing properties. With each bead that I string on the mala, I am sending and chanting positive vibes. Each mala contains 108 gemstone beads as well as the guru bead. The guru bead is a reminder of the bond between the teacher and the student.

Both cushion and mala together would solidify a strong practise.

Repairs

Gemstone malas should be treated with respect and taken care of, as gems can crack with force. Please do not wear your malas Please do not wrap your mala around your wrists for long periods of time as this stress can cause your mala to break. Malas are made from the best products and intentions but sometimes they break. CEloveasana offers a one time FREE repair service for all malas that break. I believe that it is important for such a personal item to be repaired and reblessed by the same hands that made it originally.

Rose quartz-called the "love" stone. It is the stone of unconditional love that opens the heart charka to all forms of love: self, family, platonic and romantic love.

The seventh chakra: It symbolizes the totality of creation, wholeness and completion.

When this chakra is functioning poorly, it is difficult to make decisions or have a sense of belonging. When this chakra is functioning properly, we feel spiritual connection to all and peace within ourselves.

Mantra:
I am at one with all that is.

Amethyst-works on the emotional, spiritual and physical planes of the body to provide calm, balance and peace.

The sixth chakra: This chakra means 'to know' and refers to telepathy and intuition. If this chakra is functioning poorly we may become overly logical or close-minded. If functioning, we feel highly intuitive, in touch with our soul's purpose.

Mantra:
I trust my inner soul's purpose.

The fifth chakra: Known as the throat chakra, it is related to sound, communication, self-expression and vibration. It reminds us to communicate mindfully and positively.

When out of alignment, we may feel afraid to express ourselves, create blockages or be overly talkative and self-righteous. If functioning properly, communication and creativity come to life through self-expression; inner hearing and intuition.

Jade-is an ancient stone that has been used to attract love. It is the stone of the heart.

The fourth chakra: The heart chakra is the central chakra and holds the function of learning to love ourselves and others unconditionally as we open to compassion and universal love.

If this chakra gets out of balance, we may feel unworthy of love, punish ourselves or be overly dramatic and possessive in our relationships. When functioning, we live in a world that reflects love, beauty and harmony.

Mantra:
I am love and love is everywhere.

Tiger eye-lets you see everything. It is known to bring clear thinking and insight.

The third chakra: It is the storehouse of energy that distributes prana or life force throughout the entire system, allowing us to project our creative visions into the world thereby becoming creators of our own destiny.

When out of balance, we allow others to control us by seeking reassurance and validation; or become needy and demanding. When in balance, we feel energized, effective, and confident and have healthy self-esteem.

Mantra:
I have the power and the creativity.

Carnelian-is an energy booster. Is helps the insecure person to find strength within them so they can come into their own.

The second chakra: Water, emotional identity, oriented to self-gratification. It is associated with emotions, sexuality, nurturing and being open and receptive.

If this chakra is out of balance, we may feel emotionally unstable, overly sensitive, guilty, ashamed or isolated. When balanced, we feel a sense of joy and pleasure, sexual fulfillment and fluidity of expression.

Mantra:
I am vitality.

Garnet-is a stone or regeneration and stability. It is said to bring positive thoughts and be excellent for manifestation and bringing abundance. Helps with issues of self-worth and brings a knowing that our needs will be provided for.

The first chakra: The function is grounding to the physical earth, security and survival.

If out of balance, we may feel self-centered, overly materialistic, fearful, or have low self-esteem. When balanced, we feel prosperous, secure, and filled of vitality and energy.

Mantra:
I am supported and grounded.
